Hi all,

I have a question and I’d love some clarification please.

I’m currently living and working in Toronto on a 3-year PGWP. All being well, I should apply for PR at the end of the year under Canadian Experience Class. I am also planning to move to Quebec and work in Ontario once I put my application through. My question is: Can I live in Quebec and work in Ontario once I submit my application ? or should I wait until I get my PR ? Or is it prohibited to do that at all ?

Thanks for your help !

To settle in Quebec you need to go through the Quebec specific immigration process. Even though you plan to work in Ontario.

Once you get PR this isn't an issue, but you have to be very, very careful about how you do this. If a visa officer suspects you will be living in Quebec without going through the Quebec specific immigration process, you may be refused.

Thanks for your message. So if I understand you correctly, I should wait until my PR is approved before moving to Quebec ?

thanks
