Dear fellows,

I have a ticket back to China on the next Monday. I really want to be back to spend spring festival with my family. I am still waiting my open work permit ( I am inland applicant) which should be arrived at the beginning of March. I have Multiple entry visitor visa and it is good for 10 years.

I really want to know, if I leave Canada for 3 weeks and return back with my Multiple entry visitor visa, should it be fine? I highly appreciate your insights. Please help!

Thank you!

3 weeks shouldn't be an issue. the risk is being denied entry upon your return or being away for months, not weeks. seeing how you have a valid visa and are planning a short trip, then the chances of being denied entry are low. it's good to come back with a return ticket and a copy of your pr application (in case it comes up).

Hi CDNPR,

Thanks for your quick response. Yea, I just want to spend spring festival holiday with my family back home consider that I am doing not too much in Canada but wait my OWP. What type of documents I should bring with me? Like receipt to pay the sponsorship fee, something like that ?
Thank you soooooooo much

yes, any receipts for the fees paid, any confirmation letters received from cic. i used to carry a copy of my whole application, but they never asked to look at it. once they saw the big pile, they realized i knew the rules.

remember until you are approved for pr, you are only able to "visit". so your purpose of your visit when you come back is "i'm here to visit my spouse." it is also ok ot add "i have a pr application submitted". they want to know you know the rules. personally, i would not recommend bringing up the owp, unless they specifically ask about it. to me, bringing that up can confuse things and trigger additional questioning. though, others who have gone through the same thing as you may be able to tell you if this is an accurate assumption.
