Can I leave Canada to work in the US while my PR application is under process?

Hi guys,

I applied for my PR under CEC back in June 2019. Alas, the application is still in progress!!! I've my open work permit valid till March 2022. Anyways, now the question is can I leave Canada while my PR application is still in process? What will be the procedure to return once my application is approved? Would I need a visitor visa to re-enter? I'll be grateful for some guidance here!

Yes - you can leave Canada and return once your application is approved.

You'll be given a COPR / PR visa once you are approved and this is what you will use to return.
