Can I leave Canada for a month during the Ontario PNP processing?

Hi everyone, I just submitted my PNP at around Mar 2014, and I have a family issue that I may need to leave Canada for a month in very soon. But I am wondering whether or not ok to leave during the PNP process? Seem some ppl told me I can't, otherwise PNP will keep checking the applicant. If is true? Thanks.
