Hi,

My Bachelors degree say that I completed my degree in April 2014. However, I've been working as a self employed person for 4-5 years now. And my work/NOC (1123) is different from my field of education (Engineering). However, I would be getting points for both bachelors degree and my work experience. Now I want to know that can I enter my work experience as 3 years in my EE profile? I mean, 3 years would be January 2014 to January 2017 (and my education completed in April 2014).. can I still include work experience for January-April 2014 ? I read on this forum somewhere that if my NOC is unrelated to my degree, I can include the work experience from during my education. Can anyone please confirm if it's right?

I'm applying under FSW and my work experience is outside of Canada.

Please help.

Yes, but not because your education is different from your NOC of work experience.

That's awesome then! Thank a lot.

One more question.. Since I am self employed, while adding work experience in my EE profile..under the company/employer name section.. should I just put my name and select self employed (since I am a sole proprietor)? or should I create a separate work experience for each of my client mentioning their company name in each experience ?

For instance, say I worked for Clients A,B,C and D from 2014 to 2017.. now while adding work experience.. should I just add 1 work experience entry (from 2014 to 2017) under my sole proprietor name as the Employer/company name or should I create 4 different work experience entries one for each of my client (having their company name as the Employer/company name).

Any help would be appreciated.. thanks again : )
