On a related note, where do I upload scans of my previous passport pages? Under 'client information'?
Client Information is for your supporting documents (SOP, Financials, Work Experience, Resume, Pay Stubs). Please use every field very cleverly.
Your Passport (Front and Back), any visa stamps, any paper VISAs must be combined and attached in the Passport section itself.
Thanks, Michael... but I have previous passports that carry visa stamps from the USA, Germany etc. I want to attach them to show that I have lived in those countries. My current passport is blank (it is brand new, one that I renewed a couple of weeks ago). Should I attach scans of my old/previous passport pages along with my current passport?
Ofcourse! You are encouraged to scan visa stamps from all your passports. What I personally did:
• Front/Back of VALID Passport
• Visa Stamps from Valid Passport
• Visa Stamps from OLD/EXPIRED Passports
• Paper VISA issued by some countries.
So no, you are not required to upload the front/back of expired passport because your current valid passport will mention the passport number of your old passport.
As for this, make sure you mention this in the Canada Visa Form. There is a provision where you can mention the countries where you have lived for more than 6 months or so.
Don’t worry! All good. I did the same and it worked like a charm. The key is to make things simple for the visa officer. Over complicating it unnecessarily will make it a tiresome task. Presentation plays a role
