Can I go back to university when my PR is not done yet?

I've applied for PR through express entry earlier this year and due to the Covid it's still ongoing. Now I am working full-time with a PGWP. So most probably now I am still considered as an international student who needs a study permit to apply for university. Is there any exemption of study permit for PR candidate? Or I need to quit my full-time job for a study permit before my PR is done?

No exemption. You need a study permit if you want to study before you are a PR.

But I do know that a person with an active PR application after receiving ITA can apply to schools and unis with a proof of confirmation and you would be considered equal to a domestic student
