Can I get my GIC?
I applied for my account on 16th July.
Yet not received account number.
Last date to apply for visa is 31st july.
Will I get my GIC by that time.? Sad

its peak time ,they have work load , you have to wait, if you are so concerned about getting late for filing visa then why did you get late ?

gic is definately required but dont worry me too is waiting i hav applies on 14 i think they will give us time if our file is belated by gic

I was late because I was not knowing exact process for international studies. I gave IELTS late and got offer on 16th july.

I do not want to demoralize you , but I will share my experience , I met a guy at VFS center who got refusal once in SPP first time reason was - " offer letter of job lack authenticity ", his offer letter was only 2 page and they wanted 7 pages offer letter from job, it was his second time application in general category he said " The later you apply the less the chances of getting visa because they have particular quota to issue visa, they just cant keep issuing visa to everyone , he said that one should apply three months before the course start date, so june and july first week is the optimum time to put application. Just sharing my experience.

Varinder did u get your account number mail from from Scotiabank..???

there is a toll free number on their website , call after 8pm IST, and give your passport details and ask them how long it will take, you should better hurry because money transfer to GIC account will also take 2-3 days and then the GIC will send you confirmation email which again will take 2-3 days.

i haven't got my accont mail yet but it is expected on monday because they say that processing time is 4-5 working days and on monday its 8 day

call them because it might be possible that the bank info you gave had some errors so call them ASAP , did you hire any agent ? if yes then agent should take care all these things.

but here is catch 20,26,27 are holidays, sat and sundays, now he has 9 days left in which he has to get his GIC account and then transfer money to that GIC account and then get the confirmation Email from GIC people back and then apply visa.
