I am Rishav Singla from India.i have applied in vancouver island university and thompson river university of canada for computer science engineering,i want to confirm that can i get admission with following marks in class 12th.


Subject Marks out of 100

English 81
Physics 68
Chemistry 63
Math 33
Physical education 91

I have also cleared IELTS with 6.5 bands overall

Listening 7.5
Reading 6.0
Writing 6.0
Speaking 6.5

in 10th i scored 9.0 cgpa and in each and every subject i got 9 cgpa
& in math to.


It is my request that please reply as soon as you can,because i am very anxious to know about it.

also tell that what about visa chances.
can i be rejected due to less marks in maths class 12th under spp.

any particular reason behind why your math score is that low? be honest about it for your good.

Have you done any bachelors before if yes ....than just fill your form in University category and only show the last qualification if you are coming straight after 12th than dont apply and wait till you complete your bachelors and than apply !!!! thats my point of view it can be wrong !!!! dont give Visa officer any chance to reject your application !!

No there is no special reason,may be I was weak or the paper was tough

an advice from is to take a course which excludes math as a subject throughout your study in Canada. and i think you can also change the course once you are about to start you course..they may charge you like $100 to $200 for that purpose..but this will make up your chances ;D

My advice would be take a standardized test. Like if you take GRE and get a good score, it should be alright.

it all depends upon the luck ,,u can get admission in university or college,,,but visa officer can doubt on this ,,,,bcz one of my friend's visa was refused only bcz of the same reason ,,,she had ielts sore of 7.0 band,,but she got refusal only bcz of less marks in maths...so it all depend upon your luck....

Dude, you are good to go.. do not worry, its just one mark... DO not listen to other pussies, follow your heart... And one more thing, if you can do, after coming here, try to get admission in other good university.. GOod luck

Thanks guys for your replies.i am sorry i am to much late for this,but I wanted to share this.

I was not accepted by Vancouver island university due to my poor performance in maths.but now I am studying in chitkara university,himachal pardesh.here I am doing dual degree (in b.tech cse) in which I will be able to go Canada for studing after completion of 2 years in india and complete my remaining degree 2 years there without any worries.

bro ithink your marks r good in all subjects nd overall percentage is also good atleast u have passing marks in maths so there should be no objection on this but my marks in mathematics is 88..
