Can I fly back to Canada with only COPR and passport?

Guys, I was wondering once I land with my COPR and wait for my PR card, can I leave and fly back to Canada with COPR and Passport? I am from a visa exempt country and I have an open work permit valid until June 2015.

Should I fly back to Canada with copr or with work permit? Or can I travel without a PR even I am from a visa exempt country? I won't get the PR card on time when I am traveling.

If you hold a visa exempt passport - then yes.

Otherwise no.

Note that your open work permit will be effectively canceled as soon as you land and become a PR.
