Hi all,

I've been granted a work permit from Ireland to Canada which is due to expire on March 1st of this year. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the move for a couple of months. Is it possible to extend/defer my visa so I can enter St s later date? If so how do I di this do I won't lose my visa.

Thanks

1. If it is an IEC open work permit, then it is a case of "use it or lose it" IEC LOI can't be extended.

Yeah I applied through the IEC. Is there any way around it??? Can I
Apply for another visa now or is it a case you only get one

You can find the rules here.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/experience/bilat.asp

If you want to apply for a second one, it would have to be under the co-op / internship category.
