Could you also give me a gist of things for an idea what could be taken in a carryon baggage and a checked in luggage? I'm pretty confused if I could carry my shampoo in my hand luggage and so on? Is there any simple way to sort things out during packing which could avoid airport-hassles later? I have a very little time now ...any response from you will be highly appreciable Mead :)

try to avoid liquids , sharp items, knifes , scissors , blades etc . I try to avoid medication which is without prescription. I also try to avoid home cooked foods like laddos etc u can take food items i am not saying u cannot i just try to avoid its just me..... i like to go light weight . try to avoid pickle bottles etc in general try to avoid anything in a bottle lol....look on google there may be more information. Keep in mind why there r restriction on some items ...they dont want u to have anything onboard that could be used as a weapon as u only access to ur carry on luggage and not ur checkin baggage these things r ok in check in baggage.

Well, that is what I was exactly looking for :) Thanks Mead.

carrying medicine in check in bag is okay..make sure to get prescription for prescribed medicines. for normal ones like disprin, crocin...prescription is not required.
