Arrived in Canada Sept 2019. I am currently on a PGWP and in July my common-law spouse will submit an inland application for spousal sponsorship. When I came to Canada, I was by myself and childcare would have been a huge barrier to my studies, so I left my daughter in the care of my mother.

Now, my mother has fallen ill with COVID-19 and I am not sure what to do. I am wondering if it possible for me to bring my daughter here now or will I have to wait for PR?

does she have a visa or visa waiver?
Note: I am writing this on behalf of my spouse and her daughter.

Her daughter does not have a visa or eTA. She's just 10. I believe she was listed as non-accompanying but my spouse would like to change that due to the situation.

They're from the Philippines, for context.

She'll need to be included in your PR app as accompanying or non-accompanying. (very important! must be included). Here you mean as accompanying if you want her to join.

You can apply for a TRV for her separately - you'll have to look at the covid exemptions to figure out how she fits. (I would think as stepchild of the PR/citizen)

Thank you so much. I will look into that right away. Is a 10 year old eligible for a TRV?
