My wife is Canadian and I'm a US citizen. We had been living in US together for almost 20 years now and started thinking about moving to Canada. I'm an engineer and my wife does not work. If we apply for Canadian Permanent Residency for me, she would have to be my sponsor, but I'm the one making money in the family. We were also planning on applying from US. Does anyone have any ideas or advises how to make this work better?

HI

1. Your wife doesn't have to have an income for spousal sponsorship, she just can't be collecting social assistance.
2. Note you will have to include a statement as to what plans you have made for moving to Canada once a visa (COPR) is issued.
