Hi ,

I have made 2 trv attempts last year and got refused while my wife was a full time student. later hired a lawyer in canada and on her advise applied for sowp and again got refused 2 times. last application was in sept 2016 with one reason of financial status.

finally im thinking to try one more time but this time only trv as my wifes visa will expire in march and she plans to take extension for study permit later in feb only.

I want to know if i can just apply for trv now and once my wife has her study permit extended, i apply for sowp in land?

also i never had the correct guidance to put papers together if any1 can advise me on the correct documentation to ensure a visa this time.

thanks

If you already have four refusals - I would not apply again unless your circumstances have significantly changed or unless there's evidence you didn't provide in your previous application. In order for us to help you, you'll have to tell us what refusal reasons you were given and what evidence you submitted to demonstrate proof of ties to your home country with your previous applications.

in first 2 trv refusal reasons were common:
1) Family ties in Canada and country of residence

2) Purpose of Visit

3) Personal assets and financial status

for sowp i beleive lawyer made a grave mistake of not uploading my wifes enrolment documents and we got 2 reasons for our first sowp:

1) Personal assets and financial status
2)evidence of spouse enrolment (other reasons)

lawyer decided to make a new application for sowp
and this time we had only one reason

1) Personal assets and financial status

Note: study of 1 year of my wife was sponsored by my brother who stays in US but documents regarding this was never asked by my lawyer.

we provided valuation of properties my bank account india ( lawyer said to show minimum 5000 cad) but i showed almost 7000 cad and wifes bank in canada with 3000 cad
letter of invitation and all necessary documents told by the lawyer.

For new application this time around i have managed to save some more money and can show more than 10k cad in my bank plus i have started a proprietorship which is seasonal work of wedding events and that company account also hold more than 4000 cad.
I'm also employed with a IT company since jan 2016.

please share your inputs if any1 likes to help me with my situation.

thanks again to all.

If you have four refusals from 2016 - I wouldn't apply again until late 2017.

can any1 suggest an affordable and reliable attorney or consultant, who is not a money sucker.

thanks
