Can I apply to extend my Study Permit If I continue another course

I have a plan to study in canada in 2 separated course, the 1st course lenght is 1 year (1 year study permit), the 2nd course lenght is 2 years. After I graduate my 1st course, can I apply to extend my study permit for 2nd course?

My first course will finish in April 2019 & I have study permit till August 2019 & I have taken next course in September 2019. Can I work full time in this time & when I need to extend my study permit.plz give reply
