I did enquire about it but the visa consultant saying you cant apply for visitor visa it can creat problem for spousal application.. pl guide (pl note im processing my file frm new delhi, india)

You can apply for a visitor visa - it won't interfere with your sponsorship application. There is no guarantee the visitor visa will be approved - but you can certainly apply.
