My wife is the primary applicant for our express entry profile and yet to receive an ITA. However Iam considering study permit option to increase the CRS score as we are running out of time due to the age factor.

Can we keep our express entry profile and apply for study permit?

Is it recommended to take such approach? Will an express entry profile effect my study permit application?

Or should we withdraw the express entry profile and take the study permit --> work permit --> PR route?

Please suggest!

Yes you can apply for a study permit. You don’t need to withdraw your EE profile. Do you have acceptance to a college or university?

No, i haven't received.
You can go ahead and find a university/college to apply to? You probably are looking at Spring or Fall 2021 for acceptance. Get accepted and pay first year tuition and show minimum $10k Cdn in funds. All the best.

Is winter closed for intake? I am thinking to apply Msc while waiting for PR. I already applied PR last year but still waiting for the outcome.

Also does one have to pay the full tuition before visa approval?

Well it’s November 1 and winter session starts the first and second week of January. Are you going to get admitted to a masters program, apply and get approved by the beginning of Januar.

I hardly doubt given COVID situation. I'll look for one that starts in the summer as fall is too far.
