Can I apply for Open Work Permit while PR application is in progress?

Hi All,

I have received an AOR and my PR application is in progress.I am NOT eligible for BOWP as my current Closed Work Permit has expired and I am on implied status for visitor's visa. (Decision pending).

Can I know if I can apply for an 'Open Work' permit so I can work for any company? Any links etc to the same might help please. Thanks!

There are very few classes of open work permit, you are not eligible for the BOWP, that would have been your best option. You haven't indicated anything that suggests you are eligible for any work permit.

Have you looked at IEC programs to see if you are eligible for any of those?
