Can I apply for citizenship while in PR Card renew?

Hi there,

I'm currently in the process of PR card renewing, noticed the process takes long time, 191 days, I'm thinking of making application for Canadian citizenship meanwhile, but not sure should I wait for PR renew done or can I apply for citizenship at the same time?

You can apply for citizenship at the same time.

you can apply for citizenship anytime even with your expired PR , but if you are able to apply for citizenship then why you want to waste money for PR as by the time you get PR card yo might be more then had way to getting citizenship , unless you are traveling abroad expect USA,

IF you dont intent to travel by air then apply for Citizenship and get Passport or EDL ( to travel to USA vi aland or sea )
