Hello,
I have applied for student visa for montreal, canada which is awaited due to pendemic covid 19, however my question is whether my student can be rejected for epilepsy as I have suffered 2 seizures 1st one in 2003 and second/last seizure in 2005, but since then I am taking medication (eptoin) now it has been reduced to 1 table a day i.e. 100mg. And it is very much controlled and I am a practising lawyer in India for last 5 years. Will my medical condition be considered a ground for student visa refusal.

Thanks,

Reply will be highly anticipated.

Cannot answer your specific question but what would be your plan to continue with your medication whilst in Canada given you can only bring a 90 day supply and it would be illegal to personally import medication from outside Canada

Unlikely since your seizures have been well controlled for a long time and most seizure medication is not very expensive. Very hard to guarantee though.

Hi Vicky, I am in the same situation as yours can you please guide me on the steps to be taken for an epilepsy patient to apply for student visa at canada
Per their posting history, their student visa was denied… however doesn’t mean that them having epilepsy was the reason. More than likely other factors caused that
