Can Apply for New Visitor Visa within Canada?

I am holding a Malaysian passport came to Canada to become a resident together with my Canadian husband and my two kids (they're already citizen of Canada). I've also submitted my Permanent Residence application on 25th July 2013 and still waiting for the approval.

My Visitor Visa will be expired on 25th March 2013. Can I apply for new visitor visa within Canada? I saw on the web there is an option to do so but I am not sure if it is only for those with valid study permit or temporary foreign worker. Please advise. If I do need to leave the country...can I apply new Canada visitor visa in USA (which i need to apply USA visa and a place to stay there).

I am the primarily care giver to my children and my daughter is in Grade One. It will be ardous for me to leave Canada. Is there any easier way to solve this problem? Would applying Open Work Permit solve it? or is there any other way than I can maintain valid status permit other than implied status? Can i leave the country and come if i am under implied status?

1. You apply to extend your visitor permit. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend/visa.asp
2. If you leave Canada on implied status it ends.
3. You leave Canada, you need a new TRV is your is expired. You have to apply to an overseas office.

What I meant was that my TRV will expire on the 25th of March.... all other questions and info are the same.
