Hi guys!

I am a Vietnamese guy who is going to Canada in this April, and I already got the study permit. I have a boyfriend who happens to be a Filipino. We met in Saigon, Vietnam last year and have been living together for more than 2 months. He has planned to visit me in Sydney, Nova Scotia. His family will be his sponsor for the trip.
1. Can I issue my boyfriend an invitation letter for visiting me in Sydney, Nova Scotia (I mean when I settle everything down already and have a flat for him to stay with me) ?
2. He has been teaching English at two schools in Vietnam ever since we met, and our relationship is acknowledged by his family. Can it be a proof of tight to him that he will return after the visit ?
3. If not is there any other way that he can visit me in Canada ?
Thank you and have a nice day everyone !!!!

I don’t think there’s a problem if you do, but just note that the invitation letter will only have a small influence on your BF’s approval. His TRV approval will depend on his profle: his ties and his travel history.

That said, I hope he teaches in international schools in Vietnam and gets a big salary. I noticed it’s tougher for people who are working outside of their home countries because Canada probably thinks they will want to settle in Canada.
