Can a student with history of TB apply for Student Visa and then PR?

I'd like to know certain things before i apply for Visa.

I've suffered from Stomach Tuberculosis two years ago and I've completed the course to end the disease. Now I'm completely fine and fully recovered. But there are still Visible Stain appears in chest X-RAY, So will that be any problem if I apply for Student Visa and then PR in Canada?

Please let me know soon, so that i can apply for Visa, the sole purpose of knowing these things is to be ready as the expense of the Visa is too high.

As the collage fees and other expense incurred is too high, so if anyone been through this situation, Please assist.

did not happen to me, but to a family friend. he was diagnosed with ptb when he underwent medical for their pr application. he took the six months medication regime then when he was cleared, he and his family got their pr. happened more than 3 years ago and he and his family are now well settled in canada.

welcome. yes, my friend paid for the medication, as well as the new chest xray after 6 months.

But in my case, I'm already done with medication (2 years back) and all that and I'm applying for Student Visa first, so will they grant me Visa?​

you should be able to get a visa if the panel physician already cleared you. as far as i know, tb scar is permanent even after medication. so future xrays will show you have scar. what’s important is if the bacterial infection has been cured.

Yes, that's what my doctor said that scars will be there and if they caught the scars in Xray there are chances that they might reject.

So what should i do? Should i go ahead and apply or should i just leave it?

panel physician is the authorized doctor by the embassy. you can do an upfront medical exam even before you apply for your visa. by doing upfront, you will know if you passed medical or not. if you fail the medical, at least you’ll know before spending for your visa application.
