Can a Local MLA / Local Authorities help in a PR to move fast ? - Urgent

Hi Friends

I got the COPR as single in Feb 2016, I got married in Oct 2015 . I informed about my marriage to CIC in Feb 2016 , they asked few doc, medicals and Police certificate , saying they will issue me a new COPY as married and for my Wife too.

I have added my wife in the file in April 2nd week, hoping Passport request will come for her in few weeks.. But till now both I did not the Passport request , MY COPR is on hold now.. CIC say that they will send the Passport request and issue new COPR for both..

Can this be taken to the local MLA and pushed from there to CIC to process it faster ?

Any idea / suggestions / Contacts are welcome. Since my IT company is asking me to leave to Home country.

Hi

No, your app cannot be expedited by anyone. CIC needs to complete all necessary security and background checks on your wife; this takes several months and no one can speed it up. It's only been 2 months since you added your wife to your app, so you need to just wait.

Why did you wait 6 months to add your wife to your app? Had you added her in October when you actually got married, you would have most likely been done with the process already.
