Can a Computer Engg. get 1 year study visa for business Mgt. course ?

I am a computer engg. and passed in 2008 but due to some reasons I am handling my family business (petrol pump registered and comes under government) as a Manager. Now I want to pursue my 1 year business process management postgraduate diploma from sheridan college and after that I would like come back would like to engage in my business once again.

I would like to know can I apply under SPP (student partners program) or does my education background will create problems in getting study permit?
