Called CIC and unable to find my application?

Has anyone called CIC to check their status recently? I called yesterday and today, entered my application number and my year of birth, but the automated system said they were unable to find my application. Has anyone experienced something like this recently?

Everyone goes through this, after that ask to speak to an agent and hold like 20 mins. Then tell them the number of the app and ask questions that are specific.
