My name is Ashika Niraula, and I’m the Senior Research Fellow - Project Coordinator at the Canada Excellence Research Chair for Migration and Integration at the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in Canada. As part of two research projects, Skilled Migrant Decision Making under Uncertainty Project and Decentering Migration Knowledge Project, we are looking for participants to answer our online survey that focuses on international students, post-graduate work permit holders, and highly skilled immigrants.

The eligibility criteria are the following:

  • have completed post-secondary education AND
  • 18 years and above AND
  • residing in Canada under a Study Permit / a Post-Graduation Work Permit OR
  • residing in Canada under a Temporary Work Permit (highly skilled occupation) OR
  • plan to apply to migrate to Canada under a Temporary Work Permit / Study Permit / Permanent Residency Scheme OR
This is a 15 minutes online survey and the survey questions include demographic information, the decision to migrate to Canada, the role of families, the challenges of COVID-19 in life's participants, and the decision to apply for permanent residency in Canada. Participation is completely voluntary and all information provided will be considered strictly confidential. Please, download the survey poster for more details.
