California university co op internship program!!! Too good to be true?????

Hi,

One of my friend received a mail from mentor consultancy services claiming that they if a student pays xxx dollars they would provide internship in quebec which pays 21$ an hour and they do provide with work permit after they finish internship. He is really desperate and would like to know if someone had similar news. The consultancy has sent several people to other countries like malaysia indonesia and claim they do the same in canada.

Please provide valuable suggestions...

what is the purpose behind this? PR?
 
It says that if you finish an online course (anywhere in the world ) you would be provided with an internship and can lead to lmia..
 
LMIA has to be supported by a CANADIAN employer, not an oversee employer, right?

They claim to have tie ups with the employer who provides lmia after internship. Will an internship (work permit/study permit) be provided if the course is online? ??

I suggest you to forget LMIA. LMIA is difficult to get even with work Exp. in Canada. Express entry is good even without LMIA. Get your ECA done. Take IELTS General test and than enter EE. there are options of Provinces also. Keep in touch with the forum.

Unfamiliar short cut is the Longest Route.
 
If sounds too good to be true then it probably is plus the fact this company is not in Canada and as I understand here they are online courses. Once you part with the dollars then will be too late no matter how desparate plus ask the question if this company are so good then you would expect a lot of recommendations on here, I dont see any at all ! Buyer beware !
