One of my friends ordered for CAIPS and we got the results today. Application RCVD date is feb 2003, New delhi Office. The piece that we don't understand is where it says BFD: FRR XX feb 2010.Since the CAIPS were applied somewhere in March 2010, a back date BFD is the puzzling piece..

Any pointers are appreciated..

Bfd is bring forward date when ur case is expected to b reviewed by visa officer.Bfd is just an estimate when ur case is expected to b opened. It all depends on workloD of ur vo

Point taken... the puzzling part is that the CAIPS were applied in end of March so I was expecting a BFD date of future or near past.. mathematically and logically .. but BFD says about a month in past.

If bfd passses it might or might not change. For instance i applied caips in feb end nd my bfd was early jan. So dnt think tht bfd is accurate date. It is just an estimate. Most likely ur bfd will change when ur file will b reviewd actually. Delay can b due to overloaded work at ur vo. Most cases people get responce before bfd nd sometimes people dnt get any comm long after bfd. So good luck with ur app

i don't have much idea about CAIPS files, but MAY BE it means that you case have been brought forward on that particular date. And now VO is working on ur file.
