Most likely impossible. To change to a work permit, you need a job offer from the employer and the employer also needs to obtain an approved LMIA. The LMIA process is very long and expensive for the employer and it's extremely difficult to find employers who are willing to go through this process.

My aunt, on a tourist visa, has found an employer willing to sponsor her to take care of elderly mother. Employer wants to apply/sponsor my aunt but read online that employer cannot sponsor if aunt is already here in Toronto. Need some advice please on how we can advise employer and aunt on what to do. Thank you.
