Hello,
This may be more of a question on US immigration but I would appreciate your inputs. I have a Canadian PR and currently working in USA on H1B in Detroit. I am thinking of starting a business in Canada with a friend(who is in Canada). I plan to work and stay on weekends in Canada and work and stay in USA on weekdays for my regular job.

Is it possible to do so from H1B point of view? I know since I have Canada PR, there wont be any issue in starting a business in Canada.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have H1B or Canadian PR at this point (and hoping to have both, haha), but here's the trick from the definitions of both visas:
1. For the Canadian PR to stay valid, you need to be physically in Canada for a certain number of days in 5 years, and a bit more for citizenship. Do you meet the presence test with being in Canada just on weekends? If not, you might lose your PR sooner or later.
2.H1B visas are ideally location-specific, but I guess that if you live close to the border and commute to the US frequently, as long as US border officers are fine with it, you're good. Nobody cares if you're doing business in Canada on an H1B side as long as your 'side project' is outside the US.
