Buffalo Medical Question...

So i received a letter from Buffalo about them starting on my application...

The letter mentioned something about the medical that it might include instructions if not wait for the instructions to be mailed?

Do I have to contact the Dr where i got them done or something or do they automatically get mailed? How do i know if they mailed it to Buffalo can I contact anyone??

You got the medicals done and you included the form the doc gave you with the photos on it with your app right?The results will be sent to a medical processing center recorded in a data base and that is where immigration gets the results.

I am not positive, but my understanding is that ALL medical results go to a regional medical processing centre - the one for Buffalo applications is in Ottawa. Your DMP will send all your results there, and you send the page from the DMP with your application. When they get around to assessing the medical exam, they request that Ottawa send the medical results associated with the page you received from the DMP (I'm pretty sure there's a medical code - we had to write the code number out on every sheet of paper and double check before we left the DMP's office).

Like most other requests, they put a review by date on your file, and go back to your file to review the medicals that have arrived on a certain date. I'm sure there might be instructions if the medical exam has expired by the time they review the exam results. That's when it says "medical received" or whatever in your e-CAS file.

That's what I was wondering I just received a letter from Buffalo that they are processing my application. They mentioned something about the medical that they might have attached medical instructions if not they will send some instructions soon...

I did get my medical done already and mailed the reciept the doctor gave me with my application i am not missing anything like that...

I was just wondering maybe we have to contact Ottawa ourselves because they gave me a lot of barcode stickers with my file number on it

I was told by the doctor that all results are sent to Ottawa and then the individual visa offices request them, as minna said.

Maybe they just put that in the standard letter to cover people who haven't had their medical done, or have had medicals expire? Has anyone else had this in their application?

I probably wouldn't contact Ottawa just yet.. I think the barcodes are for sending things to Buffalo (missing documents, additional evidence, etc).
