Hello Folks,
I have been waiting, waiting and waiting like most of us. When do you guys think I will get my request for medicals from Ottawa.

My timelines are below

App sent to Sydney NS: Apr 2010
1st AOR: Aug 2010
App sent to Buffalo: Nov 2010
2nd AOR: May 2011
Latest Status: We reviewed and started processing your application on May 2012.

When can I expect my medical request?
People with similar timeliness pls share you experiences.

Did you apply on May 2012 or May 2010?

For what its worth, I sent an email to Ottawa CPP Aug 27th and got a reply yesterday on my case. They said my case is still in process and no action is required from me.

At least I know that Ottawa has my file.

I researched this forum. Looks like a person (glowing hear)who got 2ndAOR Dec '10, got their MR around Mar/Apr '12. iamlindayoung also had similar experience (2ndAOR Nov'10, Medical Apr'12).

SO for us May 2011 AOR guys, hopefully we should be getting MR anytime now.

I emailed CPP-Ottawa and they responded saying that my file is in process. But they did not give me any timelines on medical.

I have been living and working in Canada since 2008; here is a brief history of my application for PR so far.

1st AOR and transfer to Buffalo Sept 13, 2012
2nd AOR May 2011
Application reviewed and started processing March 19, 2012
Medical request April 2012
Medicals completed and submitted by Medical Officer to Ottawa April 2012

My client application status on CIC website has not been updated since the March 19, 2012 entry.

I have not received any confirmation that my file has been transferred to Ottawa from Buffalo - it could be anywhere!
It is very similar to your application process. I will update as and when I here anything.

I got my med on Dec 14, 2012. Status MR - Feb 12, 2013. Curious where do you stand now?

I got an email from Ottawa asking for updated Permanent employment letter couple weeks back and I already sent this last week. Still waiting for medicals.
I was having my local MP follow up on my FSW application and they got a response that for people with my timeline they estimating to complete the applications by Fall 2014. If this is true, its bad news but I don't believe it because some people around our timeline have recieved PR. The timelines are completely unpredictable.

Thanks Greatlakes. After med, on Jan 22 I was asked for updated PCC from the current state in US where I reside and submitted it on Feb 8. Then Feb 12, my ecas started showing Feb 14.

I called CIC and they said they will call me back. A lady called back from their Montreal (Prob the call center is out there) office saying my med got extended to Feb 2014 and my b/c chk has been initiated in Feb.

I reached out to CPP-O my email and immediately they responded as below seven days back (Mar 21)

"Your file has been forwarded to the officer for final review. Once their decision has been made, they will be in touch with you with the next steps of the immigration process."

So, I am not sure when we they plan to process it. I saw some FSW3 also got PPR so not sure and some are waiting like us.
