I got one question as i am living in Canada and have not lived in the UK for some time now, do i include bank statements, Credit Card statements as proof of address as i cannot provide anything with a british address on it and will it be accepted?

You can send bank/credit card statements so long as they are the actual paper bills and show your name and address.

I just recently got my British Police certificate and didn't have anything with my name and address on, but they said that I could use my apartment lease and have my landlord write a letter stating that he was the landlord and that I lived at that address.

When I applied for my UK police check, I sent them proof of my Canadian address and they sent it to Canada, no problem.

I got a bankers draft in UK pounds, filled the form and sent some utility bills and I received the police clearance letter in 2 weeks.

In my own experience, you don't need to have a UK address to get the UK Police Clearance.
