I’m just looking for some advice.

I’m currently in Canada with an eTA visiting my partner who is a full time student. From what I have researched I am able to apply for a open work permit.
However I seem to find varied information regarding the biometrics.
I’m from England, which is a Visa exempt country for tourists.
Am I required to submit biometrics? Do I need to leave? Is there a temporary exemption for in-Canada applications?

Are you married or common law (living together for 1 year straight). Spouses of international students are able to apply for SOWP but it is not guaranteed. It seems like a 50/50 chance. You have to apply for SOWP like everyone else. It could take multiple months and you may get refused. If your wife receives PGWP and is working in NOC 0, A or B and have 3 pay stubs then you should get for SOWP.
