Hi All,

My husband who is a PR is applying for a British Columbia health card. One of a question asked while filling the form : Do you have spouse ? The options are no and yes with status of residence in Canada.

What should he has to select? As I am still in my home country and yet to apply for PR.

Then the answer is Yes (he has you as his spouse), but no status of residence in Canada.

Thank you for replying but the issue here - there is only 3 options with yes,

Yes: citizen
Yes: Permenent resident
Yes: Temporary resident

Which none is applicable for me

He would likely be going to an ICBC location in BC to get his temporary card. Discuss with them.

If those are the options online, then he will need to visit an ICBC office to be able to submit his application to get around with the limitation of the online application.

According to other applicants, if you can travel to Canada (TRV) and have reach past AOR of your sponsorship application, your husband may be able to add you to his MSP.

But that's after your application has reach certain stage. It's better to double check with MSP.
