Hello,

What are my options to bring my parents and my two siblings who are under 21 to Canada ? Me and my sister have become protected persons and I recently obtained my PR, and have been working. I have been in Canada for about 10 years now.

- Parents sponsorship seems to open only once a year, and I am not sure how easy it is to be selected.
- Applying for refugee for them is not a favored option, but can be the last option.

Are there other solutions ?

How about super visa? You can try to extend their stay. How about study permit for your siblings?

Hi

Your family will not be granted TRVs, so they will not be able to claim asylum from within Canada. This means that they would have to be outside of their home country and recognized as refugees by UNHCR. Note that if they are recognized, there is no guarantee that they would be settled in Canada.

In order to sponsor your parents, you would need to apply for the lottery, which has now closed for this year. It is a random selection and no one knows numbers yet, so can't say what the chances are. You would need to meet the LICO for 5 people (assuming you have no spouse/children) for the 3 years before you apply.

Which program did you apply for as your question is not clear ? If you mean the parents program that closed for this year on Feb 1 so no more applications accepted this year.

Are you referring to parent / grandparent sponsorship? Are you a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who wants to sponsor parents or grandparents for PR?

Am in Ghana , and l want to go to Canada .Am not citizen , l have not been there before.

Canada has no immigration lottery.

It's still not at all clear how you have applied for PR. If you have submitted an Express Entry profile - then you have to wait until you are selected before you can officially apply. If you are selected will depend on how many points you have.

Yep - or maybe by submitting some kind of inquiry form to the law firm sponsoring this forum.
