Bring spouse in Canada of an undergrad international student

I am a full time international undergraduate student at lakehead university. I am currently in 2nd year of my study. Last year I got married, and want to bring my spouse in Canada in OWP(open work permit). I have already researched a lot and found good information online. But still got few questions. If anyone went thru the same situation in the past, please give me some insights. I really need your help

• I am aware of the documents required to apply, but not sure about the procedure. After filling out C42 application, can I submit the application of my spouse along with all documents ONLINE myself or does she need to apply from my home country and submit everything at VFS GLOBAL(she is in India now)?
• If her application gets approved, she will get the VISA stamped, I believe. How does she get the Work Permit then? Will she get the work permit after coming to Canada at the port of entry OR does she need to apply for Work Permit separately after coming to Canada?

You should apply for OWP instead or TRV.

Thanks for your response. Yes, we would apply for "SOWP". But my question is about the process of application.

• In our case, can we apply online? If not, then should she submit the application along with documents from India(submit the application package in VFS Global in India)?
• In my case, as a student, I got the TRV and once I came to Canada for the first time couple years ago, I was issued the Study Permit at "point of entry". Even if we apply for "SOWP" for her, she will not be issued a work permit from India, I think. She will get the TRV from India. So my question is, would she get the work permit upon arrival(at port of entry)?

Any news on how you were able to fill all the paperwork, I am in a similar situation as you.
