Wondering If anyone has recently brought in child through surrogacy from Nigeria to Canada and could some answers to the following:
We are planning to have our baby born through gestational surrogacy in Nigeria to Canada. We got our Canadian Citizenship in 2020. Spent almost 10 years in Canada and have resided in Canada all this time.
Will our child qualify for Canadian citizenship by descent?
How do we go about preparing Travel documents to bring the baby to Canada as soon as possible?
Do we apply for a passport or a certificate of proof of Canadian citizenship? Knowing this might take time (Not sure),
Can we apply for a Temporary travel document from Nigeria and come to Canada to do Canadian documentation as applicable?
How long on average did/will it take to process documentation from Nigeria to come to Canada?
