Hi all,

I'm sorry if this has been posted before but my friend is desperate and this was the best way I could think of to find the information she needs.

My friend's husband moved to Canada from Brisbane on a working holiday visa which is due to expire in October. They were married before he moved, and they applied for an inland spousal visa over 12 months ago which still hasn't been reviewed.

My friend is pregnant and due in November, are there any visas they can apply for that would cover the time between her husband's working holiday visa expiring and their spousal visa being reviewed? He is an unskilled worker.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Visitor visa. With a letter of explanation of the circumstances.

However, this could be a problem: he was married before he moved to Canada on working holiday visa.

Did he inform VO that he was married to a Canadian?

That's better.
Then let him try a visitor visa.

Usually, in similar circumstance CIC extends the stay.

To clarify, is this person being sponsored by their Canadian spouse through the inland process? If so, he can submit an OWP app now. See here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2015-12-11.asp.

He's currently on a working holiday visa with a spousal sponsorship visa pending.

If it's an inland sponsorship app, they need to look at the link in my previous post.
