Hi Everyone,
Happy Easter!!

My common-law is applying CEC with me together and I'm the main applicant.
His work permit is expiring soon (in 4 months) and mine in 8 months.

My question is: can we apply at the same time? If not, can he use the same AOR that has my name only on file?

And what other supporting documents do we need?

- employment letter? Mine or his since I'm the main applicant
- bank information?
- proof of common-law? And how to proof it?
- SIN and Drivers licences?

Thank you all in advance for answering my questions!!!

You spouse would be able to apply spouse open work permit, instead of bridge open work permit.

Only you can apply for BOWP, when your work permit expires in 4 months.

You spouse can apply his open work permit, as long as you are employed as a full time skilled worker, which i assume you are, because you have applied CEC.

He mostly need an employment letter from your employee and i would attach the AOR as well, for detailed list you can apply online and create the list. Above all, as long as you are full time skilled worker, he can apply a open work permit, you just provide proof of that. and he will get the work permit expires at the same time as yours does.

So he probably will have to renew it very soon after you renewed your work permit.
