Border crossing - Open Work permit -Documents Needed Help

Hi,

My Name is Thilak, doing my 2nd year Supply chain management program in Seneca college. I heard from some people that we can get our work permit on the spot if we are crossing the border to US (btw i have US Visa) and I would like to know if anyone got the work permit like that. If so, kindly let me know the documents needed while I am travelling. Kindly advise me.
