Dear all

I'm in the process of booking tickets. I would like to inquire which is better, one way or a roundtrip ticket. It is worth to mention that I decided to move to Canada for good but I will come to the home country for visits on annual bases.

Is it advised to go for one way ticket this time and then I book a round trip ticket every time I come visit so that I don't have to think about booking tickets without knowing when to use them?

For how many months can we pre-set a far return ticket?

Airlines generally only accept bookings out or return upto 330 days from the booking date, not the flight date.

Whether you book a return from your home country or a single to Canada then buy a return from Canada to your home country is really a personal choice which you will need to do some research on.

Return tickets can be better value but only if there is not a big change fee to change a date. Add to that even where you buy a return whether in home country in or Canada the price can be different due to market demand.

If were me single ticket to land in Canada , then buy returns each time want to visit home country, that just gives the most flexibility , your choice though especially if the deal breaker is a financial difference.
