birth certificate??????

hi guys

in some of the topics,i came to know that a guy[post 26th june] got his application back becoz of not furnishing with birth certificate,,,,in fact he used 10th cerificate as proof of birth.

my concern is,as earlier the matric cerificates were used to be treated as proof of DOB,and i have also sent the matric certificate,whats the scene regarding this and whether any action is needed or not?

Hi Somesh,

Yes you are correct. One of the application was returned due to Birth Certificate.

If you dont have, you need to make it affidavit as per my understanding.

Lets senior give some suggestions on this.

Hi Somesh,

If you are in your country than to get a birth certificate shouldn't be a problem, I would suggest you to get your birth certificate sorted although few applicants weren't even asked to submit anything else apart from their educational certificates but it totally depends on Case Officer's discretion.

That's correct .... applications post 26/6 were returned for want of BC. Not one ..... many.....
BUT that confusion / issue has been sorted out in the month of October. Please see my signature ...... "CIC Imp - Q & A" I think it is Sl. # 11. 10th class/ metric certificate are now acceptable .... provided one gives a clear explanation to this affect. ....
This is for post 26/6 applicants... and I don't think it will apply to you. So chill out man!!! Hope it eased your tension.....
