Hey.

Is it mandatory to submit the birth certificate. Can't they look at the passport photocopy for that.

please adsvice

Hi,

Buddy what i heard from the lawyers and seniors is that Birth Certificate is not compulsory and if you dont have you can show your high school 10th and 12th grade marksheets to show your date of birth and father name. Secondly i have also heard that birth certificate is only required when you are claiming points for your relatives in Canada. I myself dont have a birth certificate so i am not submitting that but just my 10th and 12th marksheets.

Cheers
Saki

Great, Thanks alot Saki...Thank you

you must submit notarized photocopy and translate it if its not in English.

Inexperienced,

As pooja has mentioned, birth certificate is needed.

I am not sure on your nationality and your present country of residence.

If you are an Indian national and living abroad, you can get a birth certificate from the consulate / embassy of India in the country you live in.

I live in Dubai and for my application, I got a birth certificate from the consulate in Dubai.

They basically take the details from the passport and put it on an official consulate letterhead as a birth certificate.

All the best !

Birth certificate of applicant and spouse is not asked for by ND visa office. So many documents from where they can get it. Children they ask to know mother's/ father's name.

Then how do you explain the following from the New Delhi Checklist?
