Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate

Hi Fellas,

Just a quick question! I am Indian from Mumbai and My Birth Certificate and Marriage certificate is hand written in English, with label headings both in English and Hindi.
1. Do I still need to translate it and certify it? (just because they are hand written). If Yes, what is the best way to achieve this?
2. I read in most of the blog posts that we need to get copies of Birth certificate, Marriage certificate and Education marksheets & degree true copy and notarize. Does notarize mean that Red sticker the advocates stick on the photocopy after doing true copy? or is it just a stamp of true copy and stamp of notarize enough?

You will almost certainly not need your birth certificate for this process, unless you apply to some of the PNP programs.
As for your marriage certificate, you're good to go if it has all the essentials written in English (or French)- basically, if, just by reading the English text on the marriage certificate, CIC can determine that it is a marriage certificate, issued for you and your spouse, married on whatever date you got married on, and that it is issued by the relevant government entity in India, then it should be fine.
Lastly, no you don't need to notarize your documents unless they need to be translated, in which case they do need to be notarized. Notarizing is done on the legal stamp papers, and is signed in the presence of a sworn attorney. In general, unless you need translations or affidavits, you don't need to worry about this. You will however need sealed copies of your degrees and transcripts mailed directly to WES (or whatever other ECA agency you choose) by your university- your own copies won't do.
