Hi

My birth certificate and the degree is in English as well as in national (Urdu) language.

Do they require translation in English?

you need your birth certificate and degree certificate only in English....in the birth and death register office you will get the form which is only in English........... you can find the English form for Degree certificate in respective college or university.....

by the way if the government does not have any English format then you should translate it and give the urdu copy as well and mentioned that to CIC.

I do not agree with this. If it is in dual language it means English following people follows english and Urdu one would follow urdu. No need for translation till all the things are mentioned properly in the certificate
