Biometrics for India from Canada

My mum has a regular TRV but she is currently in India. We want to apply for a parent grandparent supervisa but I understand obtaining biometrics in India are an issue.

My question is once she applies from India, can she come to Canada and do biometrics here and submit it online for the supervisa?

If this is possible, does she have to go back to India once visa is approved so she can submit passport for visa issuance and stamping?

is there a solution for it?

Hello I know you answered my question before. However today I contacted CIC and they told me that my mum has to do biometrics only from outside the country not Canada and that she cannot leave India until a decision is made on her application.

I don't believe this. 272 days waiting for yes or no?

Do you know if this is true?

There are still limitations on who can do biometrics in Canada. I guess supervisa applicants may not be able to book biometric appointments. Would send your Question via email just to be 100% sure but I would not be surprised if biometrics are not open to everyone at this point. Not sure when that may change. She can come to Canada on her TRV but if she needs biometrics and can’t do them in Canada she may be abandoning her supervisa application if she doesn’t do her biometrics and comes to Canada. If she doesn’t do her biometrics her application is likely to be refused at a certain point. 272 days is usually for those who don’t meet the travel exemptions. It is faster for those who meet the travel exemptions. If she is still in India she should book her biometric appointment in India. I believe I saw on Twitter that VFS India is accepting all applicants now

She has booked her biometrics in India and will soon after come to Canada this is early Aug.

I just want to be sure that she can come here after that. Her supervisa application will be complete and submitted and she will travel on her TRV until a decision is made on her supervisa application.

I'm guessing if positive decision then she will have to go back to India in order to activate supervisa?
