Biometric within 30 days

Hi,

I have filed an application for open work permit. I have received a letter stating that I have to give me biometric within 30 days. Now the appointment I got is beyond 30 days. I am from New Delhi. Although I have submitted the biometric request letter to IRCC, can I directly go to VFS along with letter and submit my biometric or do I have to wait for the appointment date only. Anyone with similar experience or knowledge can help.

IRCC is aware of the backlog and has extended it to 60 days
